Vanessa will be returning as the featured guest artist for Bethesda United Church of Christ’s Christmas Eve concert. She will be singing as the soprano soloist in excerpts from Messiah.

Vanessa will be performing for Milton Community Concerts' 10th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser. She will be singing in their evening musical marathon concert entitled “Showstoppers.” There will be a light reception and donations will be accepted.

Vanessa will be conjuring up an evening of spooky songs to kick off the Halloween season! Expect witches, ghosts, and skeletons accompanied by haunting melodies with James Myers on the piano. Vanessa will be performing a program of music spanning her lifelong love of singing, starting with her childhood in a Persian-American household, her first classical voice lessons, to her college highlights, time in graduate school, and beyond to the present day. She will be joined by longtime friend and colleague, Pamela McClain, on piano. Works by Bizet, Dadvar, Donizetti, Fauré, Mozart, Poulenc, Puccini, Rodgers, Rorem, Weill, and more.

Vanessa will be recording selections from a new chamber opera entitled Kinyamaswa by composer Jay Vosk and librettist Andreas Morgner. She will be portraying the role of Esther. This recording session is closed to the public.
